You know groups would work. You just haven't had time to build them.

Most clinic owners have thought about adding group programming. They know the benefits. They can picture it working. And then it sits on the list.

You know groups could increase your revenue per hour and offset cancellations
You know structured groups help kids in ways 1:1 sessions sometimes can't
You know your clinicians would feel more engaged running something like this
You know it would generate referrals and build community around your practice

But designing a program from scratch takes months. Training your team from nothing takes more time you don't have. And figuring out what actually works takes trial and error you can't afford right now.

So it stays on the "someday" list. This is how someday becomes this fall.

This is a strong fit if...

This is for you if:

  • You run a pediatric OT practice and want to add group programming
  • You want something already built that your team can run
  • You're ready to add a revenue stream that doesn't require more 1:1 hours
  • You want evidence-based programming your referral sources will trust
  • You're a solo practitioner or clinic owner ready to grow

This is not for you if:

  • You're looking for a remote job or telehealth position
  • You're not ready to commit to implementing and running groups
  • You want to design your own program from scratch
  • You expect results without putting in the work to launch

additional gross revenue per year from bootcamp alone, running 12-14 classes per week at KidSHINE

Meet Amy Wheadon, OTD, OTR/L

I built this program because I needed it myself.

When I first created EXERSHINEkids, I wasn't thinking about building a curriculum to sell. I was a new practice owner treating kids out of a rented gym space, trying to figure out how to supplement my income and do more for the kids I was seeing.

What I noticed almost immediately was that the kids were making progress faster than I expected. The movement-based group format was doing something that 1:1 sessions alone weren't doing. Kids who started in bootcamp ended up coming on for OT services. Kids who discharged from OT transitioned into bootcamp. It became an internal system that worked both clinically and for the practice.

At our peak we were running 12 to 14 classes a week and generating an additional $125,000 annually in gross revenue just from the bootcamp. More than that, it built a community. Neurodivergent kids and their families had a place where they felt confident, successful, and safe.

That's what I built this certification program to give you. Not an idea to implement someday. A program that's ready to run.

I could see changes in the kids within the first 3 to 4 weeks of an 8-week session. We have continued using the curriculum year after year and are excited about the additional programs for different age groups.

Practicing leading the bootcamp class with Amy's support in this course was incredibly valuable. The skills we practiced also carry over directly to my usual 1:1 sessions with clients.
